　　很久很久以前，在杭州住着一个名叫阿巧的姑娘。一个冬天的早晨，她走进了一个山谷。令她吃惊的是，她发现自己来到了一个不同的世界。这儿有一排排的房子，房前长着桑树。许多穿着白色衣服的娘子边唱歌边摘桑叶。他们用这些叶子喂蚕。阿巧学会了如何抽丝和给丝染色。

　　当阿巧回家后，她开始养蚕，并教她的邻居如何养蚕。据说中国人就是这样开始养蚕的。

　　Many years ago there lived in Hangzhou a girl called Aqiao. One winter morning she walked into a valley. To her surprise， she found herself in a different world.

　　There were rows of white houses with mulbery trees in front of them. Many ladies in white were singing and picking the leaves from the trees. They fed the leaves to little silkworms. Aqiao learned how to reel silk and how to dye it.

　　When she returned home， she began to raise silkworms and taught her neighbours how to do it. It was said that this was how people started to raise silkworms in China.
