contents:
today, i’m going to talk about part c and part d of unit 5, oxford, primary english, book 5b. this lesson includes two parts: look, read and complete and look and talk.
teaching aims:
1. aims on the knowledge: to enable students to manage the words in unit one, two, three and four. to enable students to manage the sentences in these four units.
2. aims on abilities: to develop students’ abilities of speaking, listening and writing.
3. aims on the emotion: to foster students’ consciousness of good co-operation.
difficult points:
to help the students ask and answer the questions: what lessons do you have on…? do you have any hobbies? what do you usually do? what does…usually do…?
teaching methods:
in this lesson, i will let students learn in real situations, finish a task by making dialogues. i will arrange six kinds of activities: design a timetable you like, sing a song, do a survey, look, read and complete, play a guessing game, look and talk.
teaching procedures:
i’ll finish this lesson in three steps.
step 1. greetings.
step 2. revision.
1. review the words and sentences in unit one.
words: sunday, monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday, saturday, chinese, maths, computer studies, science, social science, art, pe, music, english.
sentences: what day is it today? what subject do you like? what lessons do you have …?
design a timetable you like.
sing a song.
2. review the phrases and sentence in unit three.
phrases: collect stamps, take photos, go shopping, grow flowers, make model ships, make clothes.
sentence: do you have any hobbies? yes, i do. i like …
do a survey.
look, read and complete.
3. review the phrases and sentences in unit four.
phrases: speak loudly, dance beautifully, walk carefully, sit quietly, run fast, jump high.
sentences: does …? what does …usually do …?
play a guessing game.
